Flow
This chapter reminds me of the first lecture and the reading from the Intro to Design class. The lecture was guided by-, and he talked about ethics and design, To be honest, it was really difficult to understand. I have my own interpretation on in our world and I try to think what we should do or could possibly do. To be a designer, I think art school students now are thrown a big question. How can we solve the problem that human have created. This chapter tells us the solution to deal with these problems. I think the writer's definition of flow is how we as designers must continue to adapt to a changing world. He gives us seven points to think about, which are from blueprint and plan to sense and respond, from high concept to deep context, from top-down design to seeding edge effects, from blank sheets of paper to smart recombination, from science fiction to social fiction, from designing for people to designing with us, and from design as project to design as service.
The Visual Display of Quantitive Information
I was surprised by the fact that a lot of graphs are shown incorrectly. The newspapers are supposed to tell us facts about our world. Picture or graphs are supposed to help us understand a report easily. I think that i seems like everything is designed in a perfect shape or box. This means they are more focused on cool design. It's also means how much we depend on picture expression.

Find Yourself Packing It On? Blame friends
When I was in high school, I strongly believed when my friends got boyfriends, they grew pimples. I thought that around adolescence girls start dating guys and develop their first love. This first love makes a hormonal imbalance. I didn't believe this article, but it is convincing. It brought back stupid high school belief. I think people believe unrealistic stories, and it can change their mind. My belief wasn't based on scientific research, but I was watching my friends. Some friends believed me and now I feel stupid. However, when people hear research or read articles, I think people tend to believe it.

In Praise of Shodaw
From this story, I remember my grandmother's house in suburbs. Sometimes, I am surprised by how people in other country know about Japan and how much they respect the culture. I have never realized how much great stuff there are in my country. Since I am here, I can see my culture from a different perspective and gain a different respect for my country. I had lived in Kyoto for 4 years, and sometime I long for a traditional place like temple or tofu stores. It was a usual thing to see, but now I feel different.
